Grandmother is Home

Joyce's mother, Margaret Kesler went to be with Jesus while she slept peacefully last night. We know she and her husband, B.A. are happy to be together again. My sister, Andrea, suggested that Grandmother was simply waiting to see Mom as they were able to have a good visit Tuesday afternoon. Grandmother was 90 and had lived a good life for the Lord. She loved her family very much and was proud of us all. We are all handling it rather well, including Mom. Our family appreciates your prayers throughout the coming days and weeks.

More news of Mom's appointment with the neurologist is to come later.

Oh, I'm so sorry, Ashley. But I rejoice with you that this is a homecoming for your grandmother, and that you all have peace. I pray that continues for all of you!

Most of you know that my mother (AKA Mimi to her grandchildren) has been suffering with a brain infection of some sort since November 2008. So many people ask about Mom on a regular basis that I felt it was time to create a central location for people to go to find out the latest news about her rehabilitation progress, treatment, etc. I love to blog about my daughter so a blog about Mom just seemed to be the obvious choice.
The title came to me one night in bed. I was thinking about Mom, her love of music and the simple fact that she lives in Georgia. Hence, the play on words "Mimi On My Mind."

Thank you so much for your support and encouragement but most of all for your prayers for Mom and our entire family. I don't see how people go through trials like this without God and the power of prayer.
